An Important Note For Our American Customers
We are in the process of building a new US website. Until that is ready, the stock in our Buffalo warehouse is not shown on our website. If a new release is shown as sold out, please email our customer service team at [email protected]. We can check if it is actually in stock and, if so, we can assist you with placing the order. We expect our new US website to be operational in late April or early May.
Returns & Cancellations
We do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item you purchased is defective. If you receive a defective item, please contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of receipt with details of the product and the defect. You can send the item you consider defective to:

Upon receipt of the returned product, we will fully examine it and notify you via e-mail, within a reasonable period of time, whether you are entitled to a refund or a replacement as a result of the defect. If you are entitled to a replacement or refund, we will replace the product or refund the purchase price, using the original method of payment.
Refunds do not include any shipping and handling charges shown on the packaging slip or invoice. Shipping charges for all returns must be prepaid and insured by you. You are responsible for any loss or damage to hardware during shipment. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Any amounts refunded will not include the cost of shipping.
We accept exchanges only for defective items. If you receive a defective item, please contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of receipt with details of the product and the defect. You can then send the defective item back to us. Once we receive the defective item, we will promptly send you a replacement item of the same model and specification. Exchanges for reasons other than defects are not accepted.
UK shipping - Flat Rate starts at £39.95 on orders under £1000 GBP and £59.95 on orders over £1000 GBP.
If your total order is $800 or higher, a 10% tariff will apply. To avoid this charge, we recommend splitting your order into smaller shipments. The additional shipping costs are usually lower than the 10% tariff.

Frequently Asked Questions
The HO standard is 14 volts. Anything higher than 18 volts for HO can be risky. Please note that MoPower will not work with less than 13.8 volts.
The N scale standard is 12 volts. It can go up to 15 volts without any risk.
Most of Rapido’s HO locomotives are designated as "DCC Ready" and have speakers installed. All that is required to upgrade these models to DCC with sound is a 21-pin decoder like the following: https://rapidotrains.com/esu-blank-decoders-21-pin-plug.html.

Additionally, any designs based on blueprints provided by our partner agencies are protected by licensing laws. As such, we do not share them outside of the company except for use in our official sales and marketing materials.
